- In a large pot, heat up the oil and sauté the paste until fragrant.
- Add the beef and stir until it's browned on all sides.
- Stir in the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, bay leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
- Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meat is tender and the soup has thickened.
- Serve hot with rice cakes and enjoy!
