  4. Stir in the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, fennel powder, and salt.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve hot with rice and enjoy!

Rawon

  1. Blend together the shallots, garlic, ginger, galangal, black peppercorns, and red chillies until it forms a smooth paste.
  2. In a large pot, heat up the oil and sauté the paste until fragrant.
  3. Add the beef and stir until it's browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, bay leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
  5. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meat is tender and the soup has thickened.
  7. Serve hot with rice cakes and enjoy!
